How-To/DIY: Big, Curly Hair!
I tend to get a lot more compliments on my hair when I wear it curly. People want to know where I got my hair, did I buy it that way, and how do I get it to stay that way.  So, I decided to do a post about how to curl your hair and most importantly, getting that curl to hold! My secret?!
PIN CURLS!
Right now I have Virgin Indian hair in but this method works with almost every kind of hair.

I’m gonna show you how I went from this:

to this:
and my final look of the night:

What You Will Need:
ONE hair brush
ONE hair wand or curling iron
ONE bottle of hair lotion/light holding spray/light mousse
(I use something called “Curl Activator” made by “Twisted Sista”)
LOTS of bobby pins
Step 1: Brush you hair out thoroughly.
Step 2: Take a section of your hair to curl.  Use dime sized amount of your hair product and apply to that section of the hair.
Step 3: Take some hair from that section to curl and wrap around wand or curling iron.

Step 4 (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART): Take the curled hair and use a bobby pin to follow the curl pattern and pin to your head.

Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4!

The end result should look something like this:

Step 6: Wrap hair in silk scarf and leave for a few hours. (I did mine at night and went to sleep with them in.)
Step 7: Take out bobby pins and…..
VOILA! Big bouncy beautiful curls!
For more volume and sexiness, simply run your fingers through the curls to tease it a big and get that “big and sexy” look!
I use this method quite often:

It’s so easy and works wonders! Have you ever tried pin curls? How do you normally curl your hair?

Rih-Rih Woo
I’m super excited to announce that my girl, Rihanna, is collaborating with MAC Cosmetics to launch not one, not two, not three, but FOUR different collections throughout Summer 2013!

Each collection will be built around the capsule’s signature lip color, ‘RiRi Woo,’ a play on the brand’s iconic ‘Ruby Woo’ shade. ‘RiRi Woo’ will launch first, online and at Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds Tour’ performances at Barclays Center on the 4th and 5th of May. The remaining three color collections will follow, with a summer range to be sold online, as well as fall and holiday collections which will be available in stores.”

Makeup Wednesdays : Milani Lipstick
Today’s makeup is Milani Lipstick!

It’s about $6 at your local drugstore. I really like the lipsticks because they are very pigmented and complement my darker skin tone.

My favorite color is Blackberry.
Here are some of the other colors.
Bonfire
Gourmet Coffee
Berry Rich
Fuschia Freeze
Overall I give these guys 4 stars. It pretty good lipstick for such a cheap price!

Makeup Wednesdays: L’oreal Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black.
Hey guys! I decided to start a summer beauty series on my blog. Every Wednesday I will be featuring one of my favorite beauty products. This week I’m gonna start off with my go-to, #1, can’t go without beauty product…eyeliner! If I was on a deserted island and I had to choose one product to bring, eyeliner would definitely be it!
I use L’oreal Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black.
It is seriously the best thing ever made! It lasts all day and I love it because it is super dark and actually provides some contrast for my dark skin tone. Its perfect for a quick winged eyeliner look and is a great alternative to liquid or gel eyeliners and brushes, especially if you need something to take on the go. I am seriously gonna rant and rave about this product because it has never failed me! Go out and try it!
Note: I was a little perplexed at first about how to use it, I thought it was twist up but you will need a pencil sharpener.
Me before application:

Me after:

Rating: 5 stars

I would also like to give an Honorable Mention to another L’oreal product.
L’oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner
Its a cool product and is really dark when worn alone. But…it doesn’t last nearly as long and doesn’t work as well over an eye shadow. Its great for a smoky eye look or can even double as a black eye shadow. Also, since the pencil is so large, you will not get as much precision as you would with a smaller pencil.
Rating: 3 stars

Hope you guys enjoyed my first Makeup Wednesday!
P.S. Let me know if you want me to do a post about any specific beauty product and I will see what I can do. =]
