I wore this on my last full day in NOLA. I’m sure I’ve said this before but I really love remixing vintage African pieces with different styles to re-create more modern looks. These shorts were originally men’s shorts that my mother would sell in the early 90s. I’ve got em in white too. I like how comfy and cute they are, especially with the kente detail.
Top- Zara; Sandals- Lola Shoetique
It was another overcast day in NOLA, surprise surprise. We tried to make the best out of our last day there by doing some touristy stuff, eventually deciding on a swamp tour.
Unfortunately we didn’t get to see too many big gators, but we got to see some other swamp creatures and got to hold a baby one! I was so nervous to hold it but luckily its mouth was taped.
The swamp tour was cool though, it reminded of the movie “Beasts of the Southern Wild”, one of my faves.
Our last night in NOLA, I went for a classy casual look.
Top: H&M; Pants- Zara; Shoes- Urban OG or Lola Shoetique..my memory escapes me
I also love mixing african prints with a modern look. I always take my mum’s nigerian print scarfs and try to style them.
Great post! x
