ABOUT OFUNNE AMAKA
As a digital strategist with extensive expertise in beauty, fashion and tech, OFUNNE AMAKA seeks to produce and inspire creative solutions to the world’s “wicked problems.” With the launch of her Cocoa Swatches app, Ofunne helped set a beauty industry standard for diverse makeup swatches.
Ofunne has been featured in a number of esteemed publications including Allure, Teen Vogue, and Essence Magazine and has worked with top players in the beauty industry such as Urban Decay, Cover FX, Black Radiance, and Beauty Blender.
Ofunne also enjoys using her voice IRL, offering her insight and advice as a panelist for events like SHE Media’s BlogHer conference, Blavity’s EmpowerHER conference and NPR Radio’s The 1A show.
She continues to champion diversity and inclusion through projects like her latest – a foundation finder for underrepresented complexions – by celebrating, uplifting and helping marginalized beauty lovers.
Ofunne graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Sociology. She later obtained her Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Columbia University.
