Hey guys! I’ve uploaded my everyday makeup routine onto my Youtube channel. Check it out below and let me know what you think!
Hello people! Happy Superbowl Sunday! I’m finally starting a project I’ve been interested in doing for awhile. I got the idea after browsing Temptalia, one of my favorite makeup sites, which shows swatches of new makeup products every time they are released. (more…)
Learning how to sew has proven to be a long, grueling process for me, partly because I made the mistake of leaving my sewing machine in Cali upon moving to NY. Over winter break I tried my best to get some pieces done. I had all the ideas in my head, fabrics picked, designs sketched out and planned. But of course, the task proved harder than I thought. I had to re-do patterns, learn how to hem with the right stitching, and re-do my zippers a zillion times. Finally, I realized the best way to learn how to sew well is to practice practice practice. And the only way I could do that is if I stopped rushing and started planning realistically. I decided to sacrifice some of the little space I have in my NY apartment to make room for my sewing machine. And I’m actually ecstatic about this decision.
Even though I’m way behind on my sewing goals, I’m not gonna let it get me down. Sew what if I haven’t been able to flawlessly make a structure, fashion forward dress by now! Everyone works at their own pace, and has their own journey and I’ve made peace with mine. I’m still hopeful and still optimistic. What you see before you are two works in progress. They are unfinished and may turn into completely different pieces than the ones you see before you but this is my unapologetic progress post. This is me. =] (more…)
[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]I like to take time out every year to re-evaluate where I’m going fashion wise. I ponder on where am I now and what type of woman I want to be in the future. Ideally, I think I’d like to be the type of person who wakes up early, works out, showers, changes into fab clothes every day for work, has a delicious morning coffee and a healthy breakfast, has a second pair of heels at her desk/in her car in case of spontaneous weekday after hours outings, picks pieces that can transition from day to night and are ultimately timeless, and effortlessly mixes high and low brands. Whew! Saying it sounds like a lot but it’s just want I want. Although I’m a ways away from exactly that, I am really working to refine myself and my style in 2015. I definitely want to go more minimal and a little less junior. In doing so, I have fallen in love with Pinterest! I never cared for it before now, but it really helps to show me the the type of images that peak my interest style wise and gives me a place to create a virtual “vision board” of sorts. So, I just wanted to share with you some of the images that have really caught my eye. Hope you can find some inspiration in them. Enjoy! =][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2335″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text] (more…)
Being back in NY is great (despite the cold weather, although I am getting used to it!) But there’s just one problem. I still haven’t been able to find a steady photographer! I know there are plenty out there, so if you know one please, please holla at ya girl! =]
Now that I have gotten that outta the way… due to the unfortunate decrease in SLR photos lined up for my blog, my iPhone photography or “iPhoneography” has gone way up (mirror selfies are reigning on my IG.) So, I thought it would be cool to share some of my fave photography apps that I use for photos posted to my Instagram page and for my own personal use.
