If you were like the millions of people who probably tuned in to the premiere of Beyonce’s lastest visual album, LEMONADE, you might also be one of the millions who were deeply inspired by it, like me. To be honest, I have to watch it couple more times to really get my thoughts together and there are so many think pieces out there already that have properly articulated the awesomeness that is Beyonce. But, what I can tell you is that I was deeply moved and inspired by it.
Although working for yourself comes with many perks, it can also be very lonely and sometimes depressing. I honestly spend more time working and looking at the four walls in my studio than doing anything else. But after watching that video, I felt so empowered and inspired. I was elated to hear and see something that was so pro black woman, so relatable to my experiences, and the experiences of my friends, and the experiences of my family. I immediately wanted to get out there are create some magic that made me feel like a bad ass bish.
In the words of Beyonce, “Ima keep runnin’ cuz a winner don’t quit on themselves.”

Love the quote from freedom 🙂 I loved it as well ! And I wasn’t ready for such a masterpiece ! I feel like people just realized that beyonce was black… accusing her of hate toward white people, which I find ridiculous by the way. Love your outfit Xx
