We talked about life in the Bay Area, some of our pivotal life experiences, and some of the challenges we experience as black, female bloggers.
Today is one of my sister’s birthdays and she is turning the big 2 5 ! Happy birthday babe! 25 is the original 30 , be proud of what you’ve accomplished and know the best is yet to come! We celebrated this past weekend with a trip to the MAC store and rooftop brunch.
What I wore:
I wore this on my last full day in NOLA. I’m sure I’ve said this before but I really love remixing vintage African pieces with different styles to re-create more modern looks. These shorts were originally men’s shorts that my mother would sell in the early 90s. I’ve got em in white too. I like how comfy and cute they are, especially with the kente detail.
Lately I’ve been super obsessed with a black smoky eye paired with nude lip.
I have been practicing and practicing trying to get it right. I thought I’d share my results with you guys along with what other lip colors could look great with this look.
The third day my friends and I spent in NOLA still proved to be ugly and gloomy. But in complete and utter defiance, I decided to rock my crop top with pride! (featured in Fashion Bomb Daily)
