Favorite Things: October Edition

Just a few things I’m vibin with this month.

1. This month’s issue of Glamour. Not only is Glamour one of my fave magazines but my babe is on the cover!

2. L’oreal’s Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black: My favorite eyeliner of all time, no pot or liquid liner that I’ve tried can beat it. (mentioned previously here )
3. Benefit’s They’re Real! mascara- I am absolutely obsesssed with this mascara. My only qualm is that I wish it came in darker kohl color. Otherwise love!
4. Elf Small Stipple Brush– I have been wanting to try a stipple brush and this was the perfect starter..and super cheap! It was only like $3!

 5. COVERGIRL Queen Collection Natural Hue Compact Foundation in True Ebony. I actually use this as a blush on its own, a base for my powder blushes annnnnnd as a tool to contour my face. Its a little darker than my skin tone and is the perfect tool to use when I want to create a sharper, more drastic contour.

INGLOT Pure Pigment Eye Shadow – If you are looking for eye shadows, I would def recommend Inglot. Their eye shadows are super pigmented, a great price, and come in almost every color. I really love this shimmery color…looks great on a night out.
Last but not least…7. Riri Hearts MAC: Talk that Talk matte lipstick- Now I’ve said it before and now I will say it again, I looveee a matte lip and this color is perfect for fall. Love it!

Makeup Wednesdays: L’oreal Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black.

Hey guys! I decided to start a summer beauty series on my blog. Every Wednesday I will be featuring one of my favorite beauty products. This week I’m gonna start off with my go-to, #1, can’t go without beauty product…eyeliner! If I was on a deserted island and I had to choose one product to bring, eyeliner would definitely be it!
I use L’oreal Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Carbon Black.
It is seriously the best thing ever made! It lasts all day and I love it because it is super dark and actually provides some contrast for my dark skin tone. Its perfect for a quick winged eyeliner look and is a great alternative to liquid or gel eyeliners and brushes, especially if you need something to take on the go. I am seriously gonna rant and rave about this product because it has never failed me! Go out and try it!
Note: I was a little perplexed at first about how to use it, I thought it was twist up but you will need a pencil sharpener.

Rating: 5 stars

I would also like to give an Honorable Mention to another L’oreal product.
L’oreal Voluminous Smoldering Eyeliner
Its a cool product and is really dark when worn alone. But…it doesn’t last nearly as long and doesn’t work as well over an eye shadow. Its great for a smoky eye look or can even double as a black eye shadow. Also, since the pencil is so large, you will not get as much precision as you would with a smaller pencil.

Hope you guys enjoyed my first Makeup Wednesday!
P.S. Let me know if you want me to do a post about any specific beauty product and I will see what I can do. =]
